魏源的东方文明观及其当代意义

摘要

魏源是中国近代思想文化史上的一代伟人.他集前修之大成、开一时之风气、继往而开来、系乎百余年学术之升沉,从而成为时代潮流的引领之巨夫伟人.魏源所处时代,中国尚在中古的黑夜中徘徊,但他已率先迈进了近代文明的门槛,完成了由传统文明向近代文明的人格转换而成为一个真正意义上的近代东方人物,这在当时是十分罕见的.他的东方文明思想,不仅深刻地影响着东方文明的近代化历程,在中国近代史上起着"创榛辟莽,前驱先路"的作用,而且对捍卫国家"三领"主权、加快推进当代中国特色社会主义建设事业,仍具有重要启示意义.%Wei Yuan is a great man of the time in the history of Chinese modern thought and culture.He set the pre-cultivation of the past,initiated the atmosphere of the past and passed it to the future.He gathered the academic spirits in almost 100 years,thus leading the trend of the time.In his time,the ancient China was still in the middle age wandering in the dark,but Wei Yuan had already stepped into the threshold of modern civilization,completing the transformation of personality from traditional civilization to modern civilization so as to make himself a modern oriental in a real sense.It was rare then.His thoughts on oriental civilization have not only profoundly influenced the course of modernization of oriental civilization,but also played an important role in the modern history of China.Furthermore,his thoughts are still instructive to help in safeguarding national sovereignty of territory,territorial sea and airspace and accelerating the contemporary construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
