Objective: To assess the influence of the presence and impacted state of the mandibular third molar on the incidence of mandibular condyle fracture. Methods: The data of the 105 patients with 136 mandibular condyle fractures from January 1980 to January 2009 were retrospectively studied. Hospital charts and panoramic radiographs were used to determine the relationship between the variables. Results: Result of this study demonstrated a higher ratio of ipsilateral condyle fracture in patients without mandibular third molar than in those with the molar (P =0. 032) , bilateral condyle fracture was related to the mandibular third molar absence (P = 0.028). Conclusion: Deletion of the mandibular third molar is a risk factor for the mandibular condyle fracture.%目的:研究下颌第三磨牙存在与否、埋伏程度与下颌骨髁突骨折的关系.方法:收集延边大学附属医院1980 ～2009年间下颌骨骨折的住院病历及全景片,记录下颌第三磨牙与下颌骨髁突骨折的情况,应用统计学方法处理数据.结果:同侧下颌第三磨牙缺失时,髁突骨折发生率增高(P =0.032),单纯双侧颗状突骨折时与下颌第三磨牙的缺失有关联(P =0.028).结论:下颌第三磨牙的缺失是影响颗状突骨折发生率的危险因素之一.
