It may reasonably be assumed that the period of Chinese Junk appeared in Xia Dy-nasty from which to date the metal tool was first in used in China. However, many im-portant Chinese inventions, hull, shipboard, watertight bulkhead, heavy wale, bilge keel, modeling, channel dockyard, scarfing and caulking, wheel junk, were the first to adopt by Chinese and was earlier in coming to fruition than in the West.
