项成东论文《英汉动物隐喻的跨文化研究》的评述

摘要

主要对《现代外语》2009年第3期上刊载的项成东教授的论文《英汉动物隐喻的跨文化研究》进行评述。通过分析，肯定了项成东从文化视角、体验哲学和认知机制分析动物隐喻产生差异的原因的研究方式及研究结论。同时，也指出了项成东论文存在的若干缺陷，并提出改进方法。%This article is a review on English and Chinese animal metaphors: A cross-culture study, which was written by Professor Xiang Cheng Dong et al., published in Modern Language, No 3, Vol. 32, 2009. We agree with their research methods: the study investigated the factors giving rise to the differences be-tween animal metaphors in two languages from the perspectives of culture, experiential philosophy and cognitive mechanism. Meanwhile, we point out the demerits in their study and give them solutions.
