Forster is one of the most important novelists in the Edwardian era.The Longest Journey is viewed as the most autobiographical one of Forster.Meanwhile it was regarded as ＂the most brilliant,the most dramatic and the most passionate ＂of his works.By the careful reading of the novel,this paper intends to reveal the implied ethical morality,that is Forster＇s pursuit of truth,good and fraternity.%福斯特（E.M.Forster,1879—1970）是英国爱德华时期最重要的小说家之一。《最漫长的旅程》被称为是福斯特的＂英国小说＂,同时也被认为是福斯特作品中＂最灿烂、最有戏剧性、最动情＂的一部。通过对小说文本的细读,本文力图揭示这部作品本身所蕴含的伦理道德观,即福斯特对真、善以及友爱的渴望与追求。
