“Kepesh novels”by the contemporary Jewish American writer Philip Roth,demonstrate a strong rebel color through characters’behaviors contrary to their social status and ethnic identity. Two early novels in“Kepesh Novels”The Professor of Desire and The Breast written in the 1970s, whose plot was highly correlated,built up their self-rebel image through the self deformation para-digm of three kind of characters:physical deformation,psychological deformation and identity deforma-tion,which reflected the metaphor of soul metempsychosis viewpoint in the traditional Jewish mystical systems,and the profound social implication of mental crisis and crisis of identity and crisis of loss of freedom faced by American society individual character within decades after the Second World War.%当代美国犹太作家菲利普·罗斯的“凯普什系列”小说通过其人物有违自身社会地位和族裔身份的形象展现出强烈的反叛色彩，该系列中《欲望教授》和《乳房》两部早期创作的情节高度关联的小说通过身体变形、心理变形和身份变形三种人物的自我变形范式建构其自我反叛形象，映照并隐喻传统犹太神秘体系中的灵魂转生观点，反映出二战过后的数十年内，美国社会个体人物所面临的精神危机、身份危机和丧失自由的危机等深刻社会意蕴。
