Serving as a major analytical approach of crime analysis, strategic analysis has become increas-ingly important and high-profile recently. Firstly, this paper presents law enforcement analysis system and crime analysis approaches, as well as makes a full study on advanced theories and practices of strategic analysis. Then, based on American crime analysis, it explores and interprets strategic analysis through background, content, features, analysis process and basic elements,mareover,remarks on its appli-cation status and development prospect from the law enforcement perspective.
