“变化气质”——薛瑄复性说的理论依据

Xue Xuan,a philosopher in the Ming dynasty,advocated ＂restoration of nature,＂ whose theoretical basis was Mencius theory of ＂good＂ he inherited and developed of Zhang,Zhu,Cheng＇s theory of heaven-endowed nature and inborn nature.He thought that heaven-endowed nature was Li and inborn nature was Qi.Inborn nature was the embodiment of heaven-endowed nature in reality.Human nature was good and has no evil,but the temperament of the limited produced evil.Through the work of changing temperament,people can finally remove material desire and realize the restoration of nature.%明代理学家薛瑄提倡＂复性＂,理论依据就是他所继承和发展的孟子＂性善论＂和张、程、朱的本然之性、气质之性理论。他认为本然之性是纯粹至善的理,气质之性是＂兼理气言＂,是与气质相结合的本然之性,是本然之性的现实体现。性本来＂善而无恶＂,由于＂气质之拘＂才产生了恶。只有通过＂变化气质＂之功,才能使人最终去除物欲,实现复性。
