多元智能在香港高中英文课程标准的应用

     

摘要

20世纪美国心理学家霍华德•加纳德提出的“多元智能”理论对传统教育强调的一般智能提出了挑战,对当时的教育改革与发展产生了深远的影响。审视香港高中英语课程标准,可以发现多元智能理论渗透到了英语教学的教育理念及方法、学生参与以及评估体系的方方面面,它给香港高中英语教学带来了积极影响,同时也要注意避免将多元智能等同于全面发展等误区。%The concept of Multiple Intelligences ( MI) put forward by the 20th century American psychologist Howard Gardner challenged the traditional idea of general intelligence and deeply impacted the educational reform and development at that time. Through a careful examination of the Hong Kong Senior High School English Language Curriculum, it is found that the MI theory has significant influences over the educational concept and method, student participation as well as the assessment system of the curriculum, which carries positive effect on English teaching and learning in Hong Kong. In the meantime, it is wise to confront some misunderstandings, such as equaling MI to all-rounded development.
