普林斯顿大学研究生培养模式探析

始建于1746年的普林斯顿大学，是美国历史上最为悠久的大学之一。260多年来，普林斯顿大学坚持“求精不求全”的办学传统，一直位居世界研究型大学前列。从根本上而言，普林斯顿大学的卓越成就得益于研究生教育的指导思想和培养模式，开放的招生政策、丰厚的经费资助、多重的指导方式、多样化的学习渠道、严格的评价制度等是其显著特点。探讨普林斯顿大学的研究生培养模式，对我国培养高水平研究生具有重要借鉴意义。%Since its founding in 1746 ,Princeton University has been a leading research university in the world with a tradition of putting quality before quantity .Its prominent achievements have resulted from its superior education concept ,outstanding training ,open admissions policy ,generous funding of postgraduate education ,multiple forms of student instruction ,diverse channels of learning ,and strict appraisal systems .Consequently ,learning from the postgraduate training model of Princeton University may have a positive impact on quality enhancement in postgraduate education in our country .
