唐代寺学析论

摘要

The rise of the Temple School is the product of social and cultural environment in the Tang dynasty.The unique natural,social and cultural environment of temples is the foundation for the rise and development of the Temple School.The well-known monks in temples and the celebrities visiting the tem-ples provide the Temple School with enough and high quality teachers.The openness and equality of the Temple School attracted monks and people from all walks of life to be educated.The Temple School teach-ing contents include Buddhist theory and Chinese traditional culture.The Temple School teaching method, both exotic and religious,is a beneficial complementarity of the traditional Chinese way of education.The Temple School not only promotes the sinicization of Buddhism,but also made a tremendous contribution to the prosperity of the culture in Tang dynasty.%寺学的兴起是唐代社会文化环境下的产物。寺院独特的自然、社会、文化环境是寺学兴起和发展的基础。寺院的名僧和造访的名士为寺学提供了充足且优质的师资力量。寺学的开放性和平等性吸引了僧人和社会各阶层俗人前来受教。寺学的教学内容包括佛教内典和中国传统文化两大类。寺学的教学方法兼具异域风格和宗教风格，是中国传统教育方式的有益补充。寺学不仅促进了佛教的中国化，而且对唐代文化的繁荣发展做出了巨大贡献。
