In Mary Shelley's The Fortunes of Perkin Warbeck, the narrative of gender image configuration was connected with the male power gaming. Perkin Warbeck, the main protagonist, as the subject of power coming, descending from patriarchal genealogy, was constructed following the stereotype of ideal masculinity of traditional patriarchal society culture and the specific masculinity upheld in romanticism period. Besides the male protagonist as the subject of power gaming, Mary Shelley also constructed a series of female protagonists in narrative.
