More than half of the countries of the world apply a quota system to increase women’s participation in politics. This article compares the political participation of women in China and Germany. From the 1980s, German political parties established different forms of women’s quotas in their party’s manifestos, a process driven forward by European Union member states’experiences. A comparison with China suggests that the benefits a quota for women’s participation in politics might have here.%从世界范围来看,妇女比例制被世界上一半的国家普遍采用,以此来促进妇女广泛的参政议政。本研究着重对中德两国在政治领域的妇女比例制进行了对比,发现中国在保障妇女参政权方面存在不足和差距,并根据德国的经验,提出完善中国妇女比例制的建议和对策:将妇女比例制写入宪法和党章;建立法律监督机制。
