To the Editor: Associating liver partition and portal vein ligation for staged hepatectomy(ALPPS) promotes the future liver remnant(FLR) rapid proliferation in the short term, which in turn provides an opportunity for radical surgical resection to hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) for patients with insufficient FLR [ 1, 2 ].
