It needs to take various factors like road shape and intelligent vehicle into consideration. This paper describes the incremental PID control algorithm for intelligent vehicle. The experiments indicate that by adopting the incremental PID control algorithm, the response speed of the steering servo of the car is faster, and the steer control becomes more fluent, the stability and speed of the intelligent vehicle are also enhanced greatly.
