Due to the subjectivity of selecting indexes and the difficulty of calculating parameter weights , rough set is introduced to perform attribute reduction to eliminate irrelevant and unimportant parameters . Attribute importance degree in rough set is applied to determine the weights of the parameters after attribute reduction.Then, a fuzzy synthetic evaluation is used to assess water quality .It is found that the results by this method are almost the same as those by traditional fuzzy synthetic evaluation .In addition, rough set attribute reduction and determining weights by attribute importance degree can reduce input space dimen -sions and simplify the process of water quality assessment .%针对水质评价中存在指标选取主观和赋权计算繁琐等问题,提出了利用粗糙集做属性约简,消除不相关和不重要的指标;运用属性重要度对约简后的指标赋权,并应用模糊综合评价进行水质评价。结果表明,粗糙集理论应用于模糊综合评价和传统模糊综合评价的结果基本一致,而且粗糙集属性约简和属性重要度赋权能够达到客观选取指标、简化水质评价过程等目的。
