In recent years, using CNTs for the modification of polymeric separation membranes has also attracted the interests of researchers all over the world. The methods of modifying the polymeric membrane with CNTs and its functional material were reviewed, which could increase the hydrophilicity and anti-fouling property of membrane. The practical application of the modified novel membrane in the field of water treatment was also summarized and prospected.
