The development situation of domestic machine tool castings were presented, as well as the problems and gaps existed in production. The key technologies to produce high carbon equivalent high strength machine tool castings and the ageing treatment method to remove casting stress were discussed in detail. Some valuable references for machine tool castings production were supplied.
