The main types of factors affecting the fire resistance properties of steel structure fire protection material were analyzed. Several reasonable suggestions on formulation and revision of fire test standards system and relevant standards and codes were put forward, and further research needed in the field content were pointed out. It's still insufficient in development, features, test method standards or codes system and test data transition to the practical application of steel structure fire protection materials. The actual needs determine the broad prospects in this field.
