The important main equipments usually have safety systems or standby systems to support-But severe problems are caused because of multiple faults. Aim at this circumstance, probability analysis method for multiple faults and approximate estimation is advanced according to the features of the long usage of main equipments and periodic functional detecting of safety systems (standby systems). In addition, the affected factors about multiple faults occurrence are analyzed.
