For evaluating the seismic capacity of the timber palace with nine-purlins (TPNP) built during the Chinese Qing Dynasty,a finite element model of the TPNP with corbel brackets and intilted peripheral columns is built in accordance with the structural configuration of TPNP.The peripheral columns lean inwardly by a tangent angle of 1/100,and plastic hinges are installed on the both ends of beam and column members.In the light of the performance-based seismic evaluation theory,analytic methods are proposed to obtain the performance point of the capacity curve with linear hardening curve or ideal elastic-plastic curve.When the TPNP system suffers an earthquake with the nine degree seismic fortification intensity (NDSFI),pushover analyses are performed for the TPNP system,and the performance point of the TPNP system is obtained.Furthermore,the plastic hinge distribution is discussed,and the performance level and the performance objective of the TPNP system are estimated.The TPNP system meets the level C standard of the performance objectives according to the Chinese code for seismic design of buildings under the NDSFI and will suffer a medium damage under the rare occurrence earthquake of the NDSFI.%为评估清代九檩殿堂的抗震性能,根据清代九檩殿堂的结构构造,构建了一个带斗拱、带侧脚的清代九檩殿堂模型,在檐柱设1/100的侧脚,将梁、柱构件两端加上塑性铰属性.根据基于性能的抗震评估理论,当能力曲线为线性强化曲线和理想弹塑性曲线时,提出了求取性能点的解析解法.在设防烈度为9度时,对清代九檩殿堂进行了静力非线性分析,求算了性能点,讨论了塑性铰分布特征,确定了性能水准,评价了性能目标.在9度时,清代九檩殿堂满足《建筑抗震设计规范》规定的性能目标C的要求,在9度罕遇地震时,清代九檩殿堂处于中等损坏状态.
