巴慎思敦煌之行的石窟照片

摘要

This article first gives a brief introduction to the British explorer and photographer Desmond Parsons as well as his treasure-stealing activities at the Mogao Grottoes, and then catalogues the photos of Dunhuang murals he took in 1935. Based on official documents of the Republic of China, Parsons’ illegal behavior at Dunhuang put him behind bars. A comparison of Parsons’ photos with those taken at different times by Paul Pelliot and Oldenburg reveals the historical and archaeological value of Parsons’ photos.%本文简要地介绍了英国人巴慎思其人以及他盗取敦煌文物的始末经过，并为他1935年所拍摄的敦煌壁画照片资料编辑了目录。通过与伯希和及奥登堡等不同时期所拍敦煌石窟照片的比对，发现巴慎思这批照片的历史与考古方面的价值。
