The two ceremonies held to offer sacrifices to the gods of the land and the gods of the grain in spring and winter were important official ceremonies in ancient China. These ceremonies became Buddhist fast-ing ceremonies at Dunhuang in the Tang and Song dynasties, from which we can see how traditional sacrificial ceremonies retained their original functions and position in the interaction and blending of local and alien cul-tures, traditional rituals and religions. This also indicates the mutual adaptation that occurred between local Chi-nese traditional culture and alien Buddhism.%春秋二社,即春秋二时的祭社活动,是古代中国重要的官方祭祀活动,然其在唐宋之际的敦煌却转变成了佛教斋会,这使我们看到一种传统的祭祀活动,在本土文化、礼仪和外域文化的碰撞与交融中,是如何维系自己的职能与地位的,同时这也正是中国传统文化与外来佛教相互适应发展的写照。
