As technology advances, more and more people apply visual images to communicate and express information, especially with the emergence of today's digital media which brings a strong visual impact. So it is particularly urgent and important to develop students' visual literacy in chemistry education. This article will be based on the significance and demands of visual literacy, preliminarily imploring the strategies of cultivating secondary school students' visual literacy in the context of information technology.%视觉素养是通过看所获得的一系列视觉能力,并同时将看与其他感觉经验相整合,具备视觉素养的人能区分和解释视觉行动、视觉物体以及自然的或人造的视觉符号。化学视觉素养有宏观、微观、符号三种表征形式,体现为视觉学习、视觉交流、视觉思考三种水平,它有助于学生转变学习方式、培训视觉思维、开发视觉一空间智能、对化学信息作出正确判断和解释。多媒体课件的视觉传达设计、开设化学视觉课程、建立化学虚拟社区、提升教师视觉素养、建立评价标准等措施,均能有效提升中学生的化学视觉素养。
