The space cryostat is the main facility of the cryogenic system of space instrument like infrared telescope, in which the liquid - vapor phase separator is a crucial part. It can effectively accomplish the liquid - vapor separation of superfluid helium, preventing leakage and conducting general management of fluids in space. The operation mechanism of the porous plug phase separator was described in this paper, as well as the characteristics of mass flow versus temperature difference through the porous plug. The equations which can reflect the relationships between the mass flow and temperature difference were also depicted. The manufacturing technology of porous plug was introduced. The important parameters for choosing suitable porous plugs were also discussed.%超流氦恒温器是远红外探测器冷却系统的主要设备,气液相分离器则是超流氦恒温器的关键部件,能有效完成超流氦的气液分离,防止泄漏并实现空间液体的综合管理.文中介绍了在空间红外探测中应用较多的多孔塞相分离器的工作原理,描述了多孔塞的流量特性曲线,并对曲线上各工作区域的质量流量与温差(压差)的关系式进行了介绍.文中还对多孔塞的制备工艺进行了分析,并结合国内外研究进展给出了合理选择多孔塞所需要注意的相关参数.
