结合环形纹理与比特池的帧存储器压缩算法

         

摘要

当前高分辨率平板显示器的帧存储器压缩算法存在图像失真率较高的缺点.为此,提出一种基于图像环形纹理和比特池技术的帧存储器压缩算法.基于环形纹理的帧内预测模式能够更好地适应图像中大量存在的点状结构,从而去除环形纹理像素间的空间相关性.在限定图像与帧存储器容量压缩比的前提下,利用比特池技术动态分配各个图像块压缩码流所需的比特空间,从而提高帧存储器存储空间的利用率.测试结果表明,该算法能显著提高图像峰值信噪比并减小图像失真.%Aiming at the shortcomings of high image distortion rate of existing frame memory compression algorithms for high resolution flat panel display,a frame memory compression algorithm based on image annular texture and bit reservoir technology is proposed.The intra-frame prediction mode based on the annular texture can better adapt to the large number of point-like structures in the image,so as to better remove the spatial correlation between the annular texture pixels.On the premise that the compression ratio of the image and frame memory capacity is limited,the bit reservoir technology dynamically allocates the bit space needed by the bit stream of each compressed image block,thus greatly improving the utilization rate of the frame memory storage space.Test results show that the proposed algorithm can significantly improve the Peak Signal to Noise Ratio(PSNR)of the compressed image and reduce the image distortion.
