In the WLAN, two terminals with the BSS often need to exchange much data, which led to the decline of the network performance and the security issues. The process of security validation in WAPI (WLAN authentication and privacy infrastruc-ture) and the characteristics of TDLS (tunneled direct link setup) introduced by IEEE802. llz are analyzed, and a design scheme of direct link based on WAPI is proposed. The function of direct link is implemented by switching quickly between BSS (basic service set) and IBSS (independent BSS) in WLAN.
