Large-amplitude rolling motion of a ship under stochastic wave can be expressed as a quaternion nonlinear equation. The wave is assumed as white noise,and the quaternion nonlinear equation can be rewritten into corresponding stochastic second order differential equation based on transformation.Capsize probability simulation on a kind of nonlinear ship system under stochastic wave algorithm is designed based on semi-discrete numerical algorithm. Examples are given to illustrate the application of the method and results show the efficiency of the algorithm.
