Using intelligent agent technology to achieve intelligentised procurement and trade process is the development trend of the e-commerce. ZEUS is a Java-based multiple intelligent agent development platform and operation environment which supports the management and communication controls on intelligent agents. The intelligent e-commerce system is able to be built and the on-line trade negotiation between multiple buyers and sellers can be implemented by combining ZEUS with e-commerce. The operation principle of ZEUS is described in the paper,and the basic method to design and implement an intelligent e-commerce system based on ZEUS platform is introduced as well,that offers a technology approach for realising intelligent e-commerce.
