The research is mainly focused on the usage of digital interactive technology and the implementation of visual effects in modern commodity presentation. It explains the new media phenomena in modern commodity presentation, and the concept, features, presentation approaches and essential types of digital modern commodity presentation. We designed a 3D virtual commodity presentation system based on ARToolKit. The system implements the real-time 3D commodity presentation through frame recognition, feature points recognition, feature points matching and 3DS model rendering.
