Objective To design an infrared scanning indicator of superficial blood vessels. Methods An infrared detection probe having infrared scanning function was designed. When being contacted with the surface of human skin, the infrared lay radiated from the human skin surface and the superficial blood vessels could be induced by the sensitive sensor. Results The static image of the observed superficial blood vessels could be displayed in the indicator, which provided a portable medical tool. According to the static image, the doctor could judge the condition of the patient's blood vessel in time and then complete the transfusion or cannula accurately.
