The US accreditation system of higher education was the effective accreditation system accepted by higher education experts and public because of some unique characteristics such as non-governmental, voluntary, professional, and so on. In this article, a few core features were introduced and the value of social functions in the US system of higher education accreditation was analyzed. Based on the current situation of medical education evaluation in China, we obtained important enlightenments about the outlook on values of main body, operational mechanism and ethical construction on evaluation of medical education.%美国高等教育认证制度以其非政府、自愿性、专业性等独特评估特点,成为美国高等教育领域以及社会公众广泛认可并有效的教育质量保障体系.介绍了美国高等教育认证制度中的几点核心特征,并对美国教育认证制度进行社会功能性价值分析.结合目前我国医学教育评估工作的开展情况,从医学教育评估的主体价值观、运行机制及伦理建设等方面获得重要启示.
