太阳活动低年南北极电离层F2层观测与国际参考电离层对比研究

     

摘要

利用2006-2007年EISCAT Svalbard雷达(ESR)和南极中山站DPS-4测高仪的观测数据,对太阳活动低年不同季节的极区电离层F2层临界频率(f0F2)和峰值高度(hmF2)进行统计分析,研究其日变化特征,并与国际参考电离层IRI-2007模式比较.结果表明,在太阳活动低年,夏季两站的观测结果与IRI预测符合得较好,冬季预测都与实测结果符合得较差.两者差异表明,IRI-2007模式对极区f0F2和hmF2的预测,考虑太阳光致电离的权重较大,对极隙区软电子沉降和极光粒子沉降考虑的权重较小.%A long data series from EISC AT Svalbard Radar and Digisonde Portable Sounder-4 ( DPS-4) at Zhongshan Station , between December 2006 and December 2007, have been analyzed for diurnal variability in the F2 region critical frequency (F0f2) and peak altitude ( hmF2). Comparison with the international reference ionosphere model (IRI-2007) clearly demonstrates that observations at both stations were consistent with the IRI prediction in summer , but with great deviations in winter. It is suggested that although the photoionization factor was well represented in the model, electron precipitation should be taken into account, especially in winter.
