A variety of catalysts for converting trace acetylene contained in ethylene have been developed by the East China University of Science and Technology(ECUST),including the supported Ni-Ga-Pd catalyst and the highly-dispersed bifunctional Pd-In_(2)O_(3) catalyst.All the above-mentioned catalysts are characteristic of high activity,good selectivity,long cycle length,and capability to fully convert acetylene in a relatively low temperature range,which can avoid the formation of green oil,which is aggravated by high temperature.At the same time,the Pd loading is very low,which can markedly reduce the cost of the existing catalyst for selectively hydrotreating acetylene to ethylene.
