Objective To observe the effect of Dioscorea pills on the immunity of mice with breast cancer after chemotherapy and its mechanism of action. Methods BALB/c mice were randomly divided into blank group, model group, chemotherapy group and chemotherapy plus TCM group with 8 mice in each group. Except the blank group, 24 mice in other groups were subcutaneously injected with 4T1 breast cancer cell suspension at the left abdomen to build a tumor-bearing mouse model. After tumor formation, the chemotherapy group and the chemotherapy plus TCM group were intraperitoneally injected with Docetaxel. Two days later, the chemotherapy plus TCM group was given Dioscorea pills by gavage, while the other three groups were given equal quantity of normal saline. All mice were sacrificed 21 days after treatment. The serum levels of IL-2, IL-10, IFN-γ and TNF-α were measured. Results Compared with the model group, the levels of IL-2 and IFN-γ of the chemotherapy group and the chemotherapy plus TCM group were significantly decreased, while the levels of TNF-αand IL-10 were significantly increased ( p< 0.05). Compared with the chemotherapy group, the levels of IL-2 and INF-γ of the chemotherapy plus TCM group were greatly increased, while the level of IL-10 was significantly decreased ( p< 0.05); the level of TNF-αwas slightly increased without significant difference (p>0.05). Conclusions Dioscorea pills can improve the immunity of mice with breast cancer after chemotherapy.%目的 验证薯蓣丸改善乳腺癌小鼠化疗后免疫功能的作用并探讨其作用机制.方法 将BALB/c小鼠随机分为空白组、模型组、化疗组和化疗+中药组,每组8只,注射4T1细胞悬液复制荷瘤模型,空白组除外.成瘤后予化疗组、化疗+中药组注射多西他赛,注射后第2天化疗+中药组予中药灌胃.21 d后处死小鼠,检测小鼠血清中白细胞介素2(IL-2)、白细胞介素10(IL-10)、γ-干扰素(IFN-γ)和肿瘤坏死因子-α(TNF-α)的含量.结果 与模型组比较,化疗组及化疗+中药组IL-2、IFN-γ降低,TNF-α、IL-10升高,差异有统计学意义(p<0.05);与化疗组比较,化疗+中药组IL-2、INF-γ升高,IL-10降低,差异有统计学意义(p<0.05),TNF-α有升高的趋势但差异无统计学意义(p>0.05).结论 薯蓣丸可提高化疗后乳腺癌小鼠的免疫功能.
