In view of this, a novel subsoiling and soil preparation machine is de- signed which fits the operation of tractors of small and intermediate horsepower. This article expounds on the load-carrying capability and the design of the key parts of the machine, namely, the cutting head of subsoiling shovel and its wing blade, and makes analysis and calculations on its tractive resistance in a bid to provide reference for the promotion and application of the designed machine.
