The fundamentals of statistics applied to sciences (engineering, computers, business, education, health...) with emphasis of a review for beginners and non-mathematician people. Applications of calculators to solve many of the problems are presented in this paper. This study is the result of experiments conducted by the candidate during teaching sessions at New York City Technical College of the City University of New York. It has been accessible to engineering, medical, and business students. The SHARP EL-5500 Scientific Calculator/Pocket Computer has been selected as the cheapest programmable instrument affordable to college students. The results of the programs presented in our study can also be run on any IBM-PC (personal computer), on any APPLE or Radio Shack (TRS DOS) computer.
