The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of nutrition information on the sales of more nutritious and less nutritious food items. The study took place in Torrance, California, United States of America in a healthcare cafe setting.;Throughout the literature, it has been suggested that nutrition information may increase the sales of more nutritious foods and decrease the sales of less nutritious foods.;The results of this study indicated that nutrition information, when posted on a menu sign, did not have a significant effect on the sales of more nutritious entrees. The availability of nutrition information, when posted on a menu sign, did not cause a significant change in the purchasing of less nutritious entrees. Due to unavoidable circumstances, the grill items and side dishes were not included in the analysis. Overall, nutrition information did not have a significant effect on the more and less nutritious entrees.
