摘要

Multiple platform emitter location using TDOA/FDOA involves usage of multiple receivers and sharing data between them in order to be able to compute the Cross Ambiguity Function (CAF). The need to locate the emitter arises in both military and commercial settings; an example being a 911 emergency call. Due to the limited bandwidth available for data links, some form of data compression is necessary before sharing data between receivers. Assuming that data is sent in the form of packets with the packets arriving out of order at the receiver where the CAF is computed, the system should be able to adaptively compute the CAF without having to wait for all data to be received. Different methods for the adaptive computation of CAF are discussed and the rate of convergence of the CAF to the true values is observed for different signal bandwidths.
