Grobner bases for special linear groups over a finite field.

摘要

In this work, we will explore Grobner bases. We will look at an algorithm that will find a Grobner basis. In this thesis, we will also develop a computer program that will find the Grobner basis for an ideal in a non-commutative algebra. Lastly, we will explore the ways in which Grobner bases can be useful.
