Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is the dominant interface, which is used extensively for 4G LTE communication systems.;Space-time parallel cancellation (STPC) is employed in conjunction with OFDM, as the scheme provides diversity and coding gain along with inter-carrier interference (ICI) mitigation. ICI may be caused by carrier frequency offset (CFO), by the Doppler spread due to channel time-variation or, to a lesser extent by, sampling frequency offsets (SFOs).;This thesis estimates the bit error rate (BER) using a two-receiver system at the user end to illustrate how spatial resolution can increase efficiency of a mobile communication system. The BER is estimated using the outputs obtained at both receivers and then combining them to receive a better BER as compared to the 4x1 (4 transmitters, 1 receiver) system.;Simulation results show that the BER results for a 4x2 (4 transmitters, 2 receiver) system are much better than a 4x1system with code rate 1 and code rate 0.5 in a COST 207 channel model.
