摘要

This study evaluates the Global System for Mobile Communication most prevalent issue of poor signal in densely crowded areas like shopping malls, subways and dead zones. Past research has shown that many attempts have been made to solve this dead zone issue by telecommunication service providers by installing additional hardware and reconfiguring the network. In areas or cells where installing additional hardware is not feasible, the operators are left with no option. The possibility of using the existing cellular infrastructure itself to solve this issue and its evaluation is the main focus of this research. Through this research, it has been proved that future cellular phones, with some modification can effectively handle this problem. The suggested methodology is also verified through timing and state diagrams of each participating node. Furthermore, it is also seen that the suggested methodology will successfully co-exist with the existing cellular phones. This methodology can also be useful in emergency voice calls in natural calamities, text messaging and other implementations that businesses might see from this document.
