DIGITAL CARTOGRAPHIC MODELING TECHNIQUES IN ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING.

摘要

Cartographic modeling is a form of information processing involving the synthesis of mapped data. This study develops a data-processing methodology for cartographic modeling with an emphasis on use in environmental planning. To do so, it relates existing information-processing methods to a system of fundamental operations expressed in the form of a high-level programming language. The language proposed is shown to be one which can facilitate the design, implementation, and use of cartographic modeling techniques.
