Computer graphics imaging of T1 & T2 parameters of MRI data in two and three dimensions.

The display of the computed relaxation times, T1 and T2, of Magnetic Resonance imaging in two and three-dimensional spaces was accomplished in the research work. An interactive software package is developed for displaying the surface of the brain and the relative positioning of the contours of the computed T1 or T2 for the gray and white matter. The problem of display of 3D MRI structures is addressed in the research work, and the use of CAD/CAM software packages in 3D display is explored. Colors were chosen to show complete and partial ranges of T1 and T2 activity of interest. The 3D- representation of computed T1 or T2 activity should provide a useful diagnosis tool for radiologists.
