Electromagnetic wave interaction with random media is a process which needs improved theoretical representations. Existing assumptions and approximations sometimes remain unjustified since this scattering phenomena is not fully understood. Experimental techniques need improvement and advancement in order to make a contribution to the research of a mathematical model that describes the scattering process. A bistatic lidar scattering system has been constructed to satisfy this need, and serve as a tool used to better describe wave interaction with random media.
