A pilot plant design for the integrated gasification process.

A pilot plant design for the integrated gasification process described in U.S. Patent 4,353,713 (1) is presented. The important design parameters are: (1) One ton Wilcox east-central Texas lignite/hour feed. (2) One half ton MSW/hour raw feed. (3) Municipal Sludge as the primary gasifier water supply for the carbon-steam reaction.Material and energy balances were made using these design parameters. An estimate of the cost of the pilot plant is made. Future research activity is proposed.
