Yemen is less developed countries. The Yemeni people and government recognize this fact and they are working very hard to put their country on the road of progress and prosperity. The government engages planning to help the country recover from the awkwardness of underdevelopment. However, the process of development is met with many difficulties. One of these difficulties is that the economy experiences a low growth rate. This study aims to explain this phenomena. One of the causes of low growth is migration. The study will provide a model to explain migration. The emphasis will be on the effects of migration on key variables such as domestic production, the price level, and the balance of payments. Also, this study will try to see the effect of migration of the long run rate of economic growth. Finally, this study will discuss some policy issues to see what is the best way for the Yemeni government to deal with the migration problem.
