摘要

This preliminary study compared the effects of two protocols for superficial application of D.C. microcurrent with no treatment for augmentation of the healing process in full thickness tendon lesions of twelve adult Arcott sheep. Marked relief of pain in the treated limbs was observed by gait and posture analysis. No statistical significance was found for differences in effect on tendon tissue architecture as measured by histology. Thermography measured no significant heating effect in the treated limbs as an immediate result of treatment.
