Included in this thesis is a sample of my body of work here at University of South Carolina. My first main stage production was As you Like It by William Shakespeare, directed by Robert Richmond. This production was my introduction to the main stage, and I went into the show full of old habits. Lessons were learned and I feel that I was more prepared for my next production, Crumbs from the Table of Joy. This show took place spring of my second year. This was a busy semester, full of challenges, but when the smoke cleared I was quite happy with my progress. The same semester I was allowed to design the lights for Cabal of the Hypocrites. This was quite and honor since I am here as a Scenic designer, and wasn't expecting to branch to other disciplines. The final show included in this thesis is my work in New York City, The Cherry Orchard Sequel. I was given the privilege to co-design a production with my colleague Carl Hamilton to design a set for Professor Nic Ularu's production of the play at the LA MAMA Theatre ETC. These experience all helped to guide me along the way, and prepare me for my professional theatre internship. I have walked along this path for three years now, so I think it's about time to take the lessons that I've learned and start out on my own.
