Chinese women during The Nationalist period in Chinese history, 1900-1949.

摘要

The story of Chinese women and their position within the Nationalist period of China's history has seldom been told. The Nationalist period saw some of the greatest advances made by women in Chinese history. In this period women made contributions in many arenas, including politics, revolutionary movements, the labor force and changes to China's traditional societal structure. A case study of the Soong sisters points out advances made by one specific group of women. The contributions of women during this period are significant and deserve the recognition they are long overdue.
